The capability to have a positive image of yourself, even when
you recognize you are far from being perfect is essential to being able to stay on your spiritual path. The world in which we live and learn
contains conflicting concepts and ideas on what is important and who has value. The innate value of a person's life is the opportunity
to live, act, learn and contribute to building heaven on earth. We all at any moment have the opportunity to be in harmony with each other
and with nature. The priority and values of our society are often inconsistent with a spiritual path. The rewards from leading a spiritual life
are not measured in the material world, but rather in the fulfillment of the hunger of the spirit. Our sense of self-worth is directly related
to our view of the worth of others. The challenges of following the path of the peacemaker can cause us to weaken and fall from our pathway.
(When the cock crows three times?) Yet it is the foundation of belief in our own self-worth that is the springboard for us to view ourselves
as spiritual beings who have not yet learned all there is to learn, choose to learn the ways of being the peacemaker and not look for any
reward save that knowing that I do God's will.
